Hyperhidrosis – excess sweating

Embarrassed or conscious of excess sweating? Hyperhidrosis also known as overactive sweat glands or excess sweating syndrome, is primarily a problem caused by the over production of nerve endings, causing a rapid amount of acetylcholine neurons to trigger the sweat glands. This in turn isn’t triggered by the natural immune response to help cool the body down and is active even during non-strenuous activities.

With the use of Botox, we can help minimise or stop the nerve endings from connecting to the muscle. This long term treatment will help stop the over activation of the sweat glands and should minimise the excess sweating.
